Application places plinth at entrance to Langness peninsula
Plans are in to build a bronze frieze of Derbyhaven Bay on a plinth at Langness.
If approved, it would depict a flock of geese in flight and what is described as 'all the iconic landmarks of Derbyhaven and Fort Island.'
That would include the fort, chapel, harbour breakwater, lighthouse, Hango Broogh and the pale-bellied brent geese.
The frieze would be at the entrance of the Langness peninsula, with planners hoping it will draw attention to protecting the natural heritage of the area.
