New policy introduced in September
All cases of alleged breaches of planning received by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will be acknowledged within three days of receipt.
So claims Minister Geoffrey Boot.
DEFA introduced a new planning enforcement policy in September this year.
In answer to a question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper, Mr Boot told the House of Keys that with regard to the time taken to make site visits, each case was categorised, dependent on the nature of the alleged breach of planning control.
