Former chair of planning committee says environmental concerns are considered
The impact on nature is one factor taken into consideration when a planning application is being reviewed.
That's according to the outgoing Chair of the Planning Committee, David Ashford MHK.
In an appearance on Manx Radio's Mannin Line programme, he was asked about a housing development currently being built in the south of the Island.
Mr Ashford says applications have to go through a variety of measures before they can be approved, but if those with interested party status have major concerns about a development they can register an appeal:
