Charity wants to turn building into community hub
Proposals to convert Ramsey Courthouse into a community centre have entered the next phase.
Charity The Heart of Ramsey, which will run the facility on behalf of Ramsey Town Commissioners, has submitted a planning application for the site.
The proposals include some internal alterations, such as removing part of the ceiling to use the full height of the roof, and installing new lighting.

The registered building was previously listed for sale on the open market, but the local authority reached an agreement to buy the property from the Department of Home Affairs in a bid to use it as a community facility.
The application says the courthouse would be used to support Manx commerce, inclusivity and opportunity.
