360 degree dome to present educational shows
A planetarium is open in the Isle of Man; presenting educational and escapist 3D shows within a 360 degree dome.
There are less than 1,000 cinematic theatres like this built worldwide.
Based at the Nunnery in Douglas, The Dome is intended to provide new perspective in astronomical, celestial, and Dark Sky research.
Members from the Isle of Man Mathematical Society were given a tour last week.
Founder Adrian Bell explains how it can be used:
Manx patients will be contacted if appointments are impacted by UK strikes
Flu jab availability varying 'from pharmacy to pharmacy'
Police issue assurance amid concerns from Island's Jewish community
MHK calls for government to use more Manx food and drink
