First meeting with producers to take place next week
Plans on whether or not the Food and Drink Festival will be revived this year are still unclear.
The first meeting between producers and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is due to take place next week.
Last year the festival was cancelled with the department saying it wanted to move to an ‘alternative model’.

The decision, which was met with heavy criticism from the sector and members of the public, led to Clare Barber apologising for how her department had handled the situation.
In the House of Keys this week she was asked for an update on the Food and Drink Festival.
