Contentious measures to safeguard children in the Isle of Man have been dropped.
The Draft Children Bill contained a number of proposals, including plans to create a database with details of every child on the Island.
However, it will now not proceed in its present form after more than three quarters of the respondants to a public consultation expressed opposition.
