
A pilots union says it’s hoping to meet Chief Minister Allan Bell over the closure of Flybe’s base on the Isle of Man.
Earlier today, David Margrie, the principal negotiator for the British Airline Pilots Association, met with Flybe’s chief executive and some of the staff affected by the decision.
He says 19 pilots and 26 cabin crew based on the Island will lose their jobs unless a compromise can be worked out the company.
And he says the union is now considering its next steps as the closure looms next year:
