Over a thousand expected at Knockaloe
A site which once held well over 1,000 internees is aiming to host a similar number of people tomorrow to honour the work of a century ago.
Pilates 1020 is a free event aimed to tell the world about Knockaloe, where Joseph Pilates developed so much of his methodology while he was interned there.
With the majority of the 23 internment camp compounds designed to hold 1,020 internees, organisers aim to have 1,020 participants, young and old, experienced and beginners, taking part.
Alison Jones from Isle of Man Charity Knockaloe.im says it will be a special event.
Pilates 1020 takes place at Knockaloe at 10.30 on Saturday morning.
