'Ladies in Pigs' to extoll virtues of red meat
A group known as 'Ladies in Pigs' will look to educate the Manx people about the benefits of eating bacon, ham, gammon and other pig-based products next month.
Representatives from the not-for-profit organisation are heading to the Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival as a special guest of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
The food faction has promoted Quality Standard British pork (as part of a healthy diet) for the last 20 years.
They'll be on hand to answer questions from festival-goers at the event, which takes place in the Villa Marina Gardens between 16-17 September.
