
Tynwald has given the Department of Infrastucture permission to spend £1.76 million on stabilising and protecting Ramsey's Queen's Pier.
The vote was 11-10 in favour in the House of Keys, with MLCs backing the motion from Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne 7-1.
It's a positive move towards a possible full refurbishment at some time in the future, when more money is available to government.
However, Mr Gawne told the court there was no guarantee that would happen:
