Pier decision: 'common sense'

The decision to spend nearly £2 million on vital repairs to the Queen's Pier shows there’s clear political will to refurbish the Victorian structure.

Tynwald last week agreed to the move, despite calls from a handful of MHKs to demolish it.

The pier’s in urgent need of repair and safety work and there’s hope it can be fully restored once government finances improve.
