Police are warning the public over a phone scam targeting Island residents.
It involves a recorded call from a well-spoken man claiming to be from Lloyds TSB.
He asks people to press any button on their phone, but when they do so they are directed to a premium rate number.
The bank says it doesn’t use recorded messages to contact the public and police say anybody receiving such a call should hang up immediately.
