Residents in Peel are being urged to raise concerns over plans to site mobile phone transmitters in the cathedral tower.
Leaflets have been distributed around Peel, highlighting the Manx Telecom masts, if allowed, could be less than 100 metres from a nursery and within half a mile of Peel Clothworkers school.
It asks: do you want a mobile phone mast near your school and home?
There's no indication who wrote the flyer, which urges people to contact local commisioners, Reverend Nigel Godfrey at the cathedral and local MHK Tim Crookall.
A government report concluded three years ago there are no general risks to health from mobile phone masts.
Mr Crookall wants Manx Telecom to meet with local people and is confident MT works well within safety regulations.
He has asked MT to address concerns at a meeting with the public and local commissioners.
