
Manx Telecom has become the second utility company this week to announce it will be increasing its charges.
The cost of fixed line rental is going up, and the company is extending peak calling hours throughout the day.
Earlier this week, Manx Gas announced a nine per cent price hike for natural gas customers and a 14 per cent rise for LPG.
Graham Shimmin of Manx Telecom says the company is facing higher costs and so is reluctantly putting up line rental charges by an average of £1.21 per month, or between six and ten per cent:
