Hopes Tynwald will agree to reduce parking in part of central Douglas to existing residents only
A Tynwald petitioner says she'd lost hope about her cause being discussed by politicians.
In March last year, Andrea Krüger collected more than 500 signatures supporting the idea to restrict roadside parking in part of central Douglas to existing residents only.
It's after news of government's plans to redevelop the old nurses's home on Westmoreland Road into 37 flats, with plans for a further 133 new homes in the area.
After almost two years, politicians are going to discuss the petition later this month, and Andrea says she's hoping for a positive result:
Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh is bringing Andrea's petition to this month's sitting of Tynwald, which starts on 21 January.
