Time for change says IOMSCN
A petition has been started by the Isle of Man Student Climate Network, in favour of making the new Castle Rushen High School an eco-friendly facility.
The document suggests the new design will be one of two options suggested by the board - a 'regular' establishment that is cheaper to build, or a 'sustainable' option that will be more expensive in the short term, but more efficient thereafter.
The IOMSCN says it believes "it's time for a change in how the Island is running its government buildings."
Participants say "we want an eco-friendly, sustainable school that will become comfortable and safe for students to be educated in."
