
The process of applying for a disabled parking permit or bus pass in the Island has been ‘streamlined’.
It’s hoped the move will save taxpayers about £45,000 a year.
From now on, applicants will need to provide proof of receipt of social security benefits rather than visit their own doctor for an assessment.
For carer passes for the disabled bus pass scheme, a social work team will make the assessment.
