46-year-old yet to enter pleas to multiple allegations
A Douglas man facing a string of child sex charges has been given permission to visit his mother in the UK.
Forty-six-year-old Andrew Christian Godding of Richmond Close appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He's faced with three allegations he procured a child for gross indecency, two each of indecent assault on a child and having sex with a girl under 16, as well as another sex offence against a child.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon said those charges date from January 2016 to December 2018.
Mr Godding is also charged with possessing indecent images of children between 12 December, 2001, and 21 February, 2002.
He hasn't yet entered pleas to any of the charges.
Mrs Hughes gave him permission to leave the Isle of Man to visit his family in Lancaster for two weeks in June.
She bailed him, and he's next due to appear in court on 13 July.
