People advised to stick to a budget ahead of festive sales 

The Debt Advice Service is free for anyone who is worried about bills that are in arrears or struggling to meet regular monthly payments. 

Isle of Man residents are being encouraged to plan their spending carefully as the festive season approaches.

Debt Advice Coordinator at the Salvation Army, Debbie White, says sticking to a budget while Christmas shopping is key to avoiding unnecessary financial pressure.

She adds that keeping a close eye on spending is particularly important, as January can be a difficult month for many households.
