
A combination of a pay freeze and the fact less staff are now contributing are the main reasons why government’s workforce could face a rise in pension contributions.
So says the Chief Minister after a report on public sector pensions recommended a further increase in contributions.
That includes proposals Tynwald members pay a 15 per cent hike to retain their present benefits.
