The Peel relief lifeboat Mary Margaret was called out again last night (Wed) to rescue three kayakers.
The alarm was raised just before 8pm after the kayaks got into difficulties near Glen Maye. Two 17 year old boys and an 18 year old woman had been caught out with a sudden change in wind direction and one of them was tipped into the sea.
The others tried to assist but all ended up having to take to the cliffs for safety. One of the boats drifted out to sea, but the other two were secured on land.
The lifeboat, which has been called out four times in the last three weeks, returned to Peel with the three kayakers at around 9pm.
