Island made vehicle on loan to Toy and Model Museum
A Peel P50 car which completed a journey from John O'Groats to Land’s End for BBC Children in Need has found a new home.
The 1.3-metre-long vehicle, built in Peel, is owned by collector Alex Orchin from East Sussex.
He completed his charity mission in 2021 in the Peel P50 – which is listed in the Guiness Book of Records as the smallest production car ever made - raising £11,000.
Now he’s lending his car – which has a top speed of 23 miles per hour - to the Brighton Toy and Model Museum for the next six months.
Museum manager Jan Etches told Manx Radio she’s sure it will be a star attraction:
If you're planning on visiting the museum in the next six months just tell them you heard about their P50 on Manx Radio and you'll get a 10 percent discount.
