The Peel MHK believes the Department of Local Government and the Environment is "hell bent" on siting the Island's new landfill at Archallagan, despite public and political opposition to it.
Tim Crookall says he and many others will fight tooth and nail to ensure the plantation site is not used.
Of particular concern to Mr Crookall is the confirmation the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry could end up disposing of foot and mouth infected animals there should the need ever arise.
He says this would be a hazard to the public as the sources of three of the Island's rivers are in that area: (audio)
