The fifth general election candidate to declare in Peel says he has done so because he isn't particularly happy with those who have come forward so far.
Arran Kaighin, who runs a business in the town, is making his first foray into politics.
On Mandate today (Thursday), he said he didn't believe a stint in a local authority was necessary before making the step up to national government (listen to audio file below):
The other candidates who have declared in Peel so far are outgoing MHK Tim Crookall, commissioners Rodger Gimbert and Ray Harmer, and Leslie Hanson.
