20 properties to be managed by local authority
The infrastructure minister hopes handing over responsibility for more public sector housing to Peel Commissioners is a sign of things to come.
It was announced at that the end of last week that 20 properties in Carmane Close and Derby Drive would be managed by the local authority from today.
Chairman of Peel Town Commissioners Christine Moughtin welcomed the move, saying the transfer was a positive step towards local accountability and reducing management costs.
