Work continues to remove silt
The dredging of Peel Marina is set to finish on schedule.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure who controversially began removing silt from the harbour in April and storing it at Poortown Quarry.
The final phase of the seven-week programme starts at 7.30 this morning and will finish by 5.30.
Infrastructure minister Phil Gawne says the work has restored the depth of the water in Peel to the right level, and doing nothing would have lost many berths in the marina.
