The light switch on is expected to take place at 4.15 pm
The Peel Christmas Light Switch on is still taking place today despite the adverse weather conditions.
Town Clerk Derek Sewell told Manx Radio however due to the damp and windy conditions, the event has been shortened.
It's scheduled to start from 2.45 pm with the switch on expected to take place at 4.15 pm:
