DHSC asking for additional £18 million
Almost 3,800 patients could be treated sooner if Tynwald approves an £18 million plan to tackle hospital waiting lists.
The Department of Health and Social Care would ringfence the additional funding which would be separated from Manx Care’s annual budget.
If successful Manx Care would use the cash to continue to work with healthcare provider Synaptik to carry out procedures including hip replacements and cataract removal.
