Funded by Manx Breast Cancer Support Group
Patients traveling off-Island for medical treatment will soon have access to a dedicated accessible waiting area.
Work has now begun on a patient transfer room in the departure lounge at Ronaldsway Airport.
The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group has funded the development, with assistance from airline Flybe.
A similar facility is also due to open at Liverpool John Lennon Airport in the near future.
Ronaldsway staff say disruption will be 'kept to a minimum' as the works continue.
