DHSC says patients will have data control
Manx patients will soon see their records digitally shared between GPs, nurses and other medical specialists.
As part of the Health department's 'Integrated Care' programme, residents will be able to opt in to having certain data accessed by doctors, community workers and staff at the Hospice as required.
Patients are being assured they will 'remain in control' of who sees what.
It's hoped the move will reduce administration costs and the use of paper records.
