Passports are coming down in price as the government says new technology mean they’re cheaper to produce.
From Monday it’s £5 cheaper for adults and £3 cheaper for children to get a passport from the office in Bucks Road in Douglas.
A standard adult 10-year document will cost £72.50, while children under 16 will have to pay £46.00.
Senior External Relations Officer Richard Carter says the reduced fees have come through savings in production which are being passed on to customers.
