Parts of NSC could be closed for 3 weeks

Fire caused extensive damage

It's understood the Fitness Zone and spa suite at the NSC in Douglas is likely to remain closed for around three weeks.

It follows a fire at the premises last week (w/c 5th March) where the male changing area also sustained extensive damage.

A full refurbishment is now required, with repairs needed to ceiling tiles, air conditioning units and certain items of gym equipment.

Those who've paid for gym membership will receive incentives and credits or extensions as recompense for the closure.
