Douglas East MHK to urge Tynwald to press on with redevelopment of former school site
Residents of homes next to a former school site in Central Douglas say, after more than ten years since its demolition, something needs to be built.
East Douglas MHK Joney Faragher is to ask Tynwald to agree to move forward with plans for a primary school on the former Park Road footprint.
Manx Radio spoke with Ms Faragher on the site:
The education minister has previously said the site is the preferred location for the replacement for Murray's Road school.
Meanwhile, these residents on Hilary Road believe there are other options:
Manxman won't return to service until end of September
Steam Packet urged to be more 'transparent' over Manxman issues
Government needs to 'break the cycle' of child poverty on Island
Proportion on waiting lists likely higher than England
