Strangers can make contact on unlocked chat rooms
Police are urging parents and guardians to make sure their children lock their chat rooms while using the Houseparty app.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says the app is relatively secure, but strangers can make contact if a chat room hasn't been set to private.
Officers warn the app is popular with younger people, and is encouraging parents and guardians to monitor how their child uses it.
