Painter wants to help family in need

He's raised over £1,000 towards the renovation 

A painter on the Isle of Man wants to help a child dealing with illness by redecorating their bedroom. 

John Skelton of John Skelton Painting and Decoration Limited is asking for nominations as he seeks to give back to a family facing hardship.

He told Manx Radio he wants to make the child's bedroom a place of tranquillity for them. 

So far he's raised over £1,000 towards the renovation and he is asking people to nominate a child:
