The Mezeron container service across the Irish Sea to Liverpool officially ends today (Saturday).
The two vessels used, the Kirkse and the Kalana, have come to the end of their leases.
Mezeron announced a fortnight ago there had been insufficient take up of the service to justify it continuing.
The only response from the Steam Packet to date has been a short statement about one of the company's customers.
It didn't mention whether the end of the Mezeron service would prompt a return to Packet colours of the fast craft Snaefell, which is currently up for sale.
There was no mention either of the 29 seasonal jobs which were lost on the vessel as a direct result of the competition from the Ramsey company.
