IoM Railways says services on Snaefell Mountain Railway and part of MER are suspended

A road in Laxey is partially blocked after some overhead Manx Electric Railway lines came down.

Police are on the scene at New Road assisting with traffic management.

Isle of Man Railways say it's as a result of an incident involving a road vehicle, and that services on the Snaefell Mountain Railway and on the MER between Laxey and Ramsey are currently suspended.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says traffic is flowing but slowly, and is advising motorists heading through Laxey to use Minorca Hill and the Old Laxey Hill.
