Overhaul for the 'Ben'

The Ben-my-Chree is having its compulsory biennial overhaul and dry-docking from today.

The Steam Packet has chartered the freight vessel Triumph to cover the Ben’s Heysham freight duties over the next fortnight.

Chief Executive Mark Woodward says the maintenance is 'essential' before the summer season, and says steps have been taken to ensure passenger disruption is kept to a minimum.
