
More than 9,000 Island work permits have been issued or renewed over the past 12 months.
The figure was revealed by Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney in response to a Tynwald question from Michael MHK David Cannan.
The answer included a breakdown, country by country, of the individual’s nationalities with 67 countries featured, excluding the UK.
Mr Cannan (picured) believes it’s inevitable and illustrates the change in culture in communities such as the Isle of Man:
