The president of Tynwald says, after two terms in office, it's time for him to go.
Noel Cringle announced yesterday (Friday) he is to stand down in July, after eleven years in the role.
Mr Cringle had a long career in Manx politics, having served twice as MHK for Rushen and been made Speaker of the House of Keys in 1996.
In 2000 he became president of Tynwald, the figurehead of the oldest continuous parliamentary assembly in the world.
He counts himself very fortunate to have held the position during several Royal visits to the Isle of Man:
