Claire Wells most proud of building 'working relationships' with government
The outgoing leader of Douglas Council believes candidates shouldn't 'lose their reason' for standing when they join the local authority at the end of the month.
Claire Wells, who opted not to seek re-election at this week's local authority general election, says she's most proud of the 'working relationships' which were built with different departments and organisations.
The council held an election in its south ward on Thursday 24 April, whilst the other three were uncontested due to the number of candidates that stepped forward.
Mrs Wells says new councillors have a 'purpose' and are joining the local authority to serve the residents of the capital:
