
Contracts are about to be signed to bring production of a big budget Hollywood movie to the Isle of Man.
The deal to film at the Gaiety Theatre for six weeks from mid February next year has been agreed - it's said to be the 'perfect' venue for a bio-pic about famous director Orson Welles (pictured).
The Gaiety will earn £75,000 from the booking - and there are hopes the Manx economy will benefit to the tune of £2 million.
Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says arrangements have been made to transfer or delay all the plays, shows and concerts which would have taken place at the Gaieity.
