A 70-piece orchestra is being flown to the Isle of Man today for an event which will fanfare tomorrow's historic TTXGP, the world's first clean emissions motorcycle race.
The London Metropolitan will perform 'The Promise of a Generation', which is being billed as a musical spectacular.
The show will feature well known pieces, from the classics to rock music and film themes, and a specially commissioned anthem for the XGP will have its world premiere.
The evening will also feature a new arrangement of a Bee Gees song, which will be performed by acclaimed local singer Anna Goldsmith (play audio file):
Tonight's concert is at the Villa Marina, and the TTXGP will be staged tomorrow morning, before the Senior TT.
