Plans for a nine-storey apartment block are being strongly resisted by a group of Douglas residents.
The proposed development, at Summerhill quarry, would see the construction of 68 two-bedroom flats.
Planning permission is being sought by local architects Savage and Chadwick, on behalf of the English company Holden Properties Limited.
Local residents are worried building work could seriously damage their properties, and believe the increased traffic would cause gridlock:
