Members of a Douglas bowls club say they will continue to oppose council proposals to demolish their clubhouse "as strongly as possible"
The building stands next to the Nobles Park greens. It's in need of renovation, but the Corporation says the repair bill of a quarter of a million pounds isn't justified by the income from the club which is around ten thousand pounds.
They have voted to knock it down and pave over the area.
Spokesman for the club, John Marsden, blames the Council for not keeping the clubhouse up to scratch.
