MHK says overall vision needed
Transparency and engagement are vital parts of the planning process.
That's according to an MHK whose constituents face the prospect of major development in the area.
Speaking at ratepayer's meeting in Bride last night (3 Oct), Ayre and Michael member Tim Baker said ensuring everyone makes their views known on plans to build holiday lodges nearby was a must.
Businessman John Morphet wants to re-develop Glen Truan golf course into a luxury complex, with fifty-five homes, a spa and restaurant.
Mr Baker's stepped down from his role as chairman of the planning committee in this instance to reflect and support the views of constituents.
He told Manx Radio any plans need to take into account a long-term vision for the area:
Palatine GP changes booking system
MGP Supporters Club to make decision on charity next month
Isle of Man residents to take medical supplies to Cuba
