Open day for 'reluctant readers'

A wide range of reading material specially created for dyslexics, or anyone who has difficulty reading, is on display in Douglas today (Saturday).

The event at the Henry Bloom Noble Library has been organsied by the Manx Dyslexia Association.

It has invited specialist publisher Barrington Stokes and audio book charity Listening Books to the Island, to give presentations to the public during an open day at the library.

Both schemes aim to stimulate reluctant readers of any age.

Listening Books says it will use the day to outline the very wide choice of titles available.

The open day is from 10am until 2pm, with presentations at 10.30am and 12.30pm.
