
Onchan District Commissioners have approved a move to the next step in the long-running saga of a skateboard park for the village.
The idea was first proposed around five years ago and last night the board unanimously agreed to look at the design and cost of such a facility.
A location next to the so called 'Wembley arena' - an area used for football, close to the youth and community centre - has been identified.
Commissioner Steve Babb says they will now consider the best way forward, and he hopes it may be possible to start building about a year from now:
