School describes Year 6 student as 'wonderful role model' 

A schoolboy has raised more than £2,000 as part of efforts to ‘give back’ to his primary school before he leaves for the final time.  

Brody Thomas, who is in Year 6 at Ashley Hill School, undertook the Three Peaks Challenge in April.

Today (29 June) the 11-year-old handed over the £2,190 he’d collected to the Friends of Ashley Hill School Association.

Brody climbed Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon with his dad Gary – completing the feat in 24 hours.

Headteacher Peter Lewis said: “Brody is a wonderful role model to others and this kind and generous fundraising effort demonstrates what a superb character he is.

“The FOAHS, children and staff wish to thank Brody (and dad, Gary) for this wonderful effort and donation.”
